Men who watch more than 20 hours of TV per week have almost half the sperm count of those who hardly watch any TV. However, there was no effect on motility, shape or volume.

Exercise, however, does help to improve sperm count.  Men who exercised 15 hours of each week had sperm counts that were 73% higher than the least active men. 

Interestingly, men who did regular exercise, but also watched a lot of TV recorded lower sperm counts than those who avoid spending hours with the remote in hand.

Herbs that can improve sperm count to encourage natural fertility include Astragalus, Tribulus, Codonopsis and Korean Ginseng.
