PRUNES : NATURAL REMEDY FOR CONSTIPATION

Your mother was right — six prunes (50g) twice daily proved better at easing constipation than the laxative ispaghula (the active ingredient in Fybogel), according to a recent study. Prunes are rich in sorbitol, which draws water into the stool, making it easier to pass.

(2 – 3 teaspoons of ground Flax Seeds meal consumed with Water) may prevent and alleviate Constipation.

Bitter herbs such as St. Mary’s Thistle, Globe Artichoke and Dandelion stimulate bile production, which is our own natural laxative.

Excess dairy, excess consumption of tea, dehydration and lack of  exercise can contribute to constipation.
