HOMOTOXICOLOGY

Homotoxicology was founded in 1952 by Dr. Reckeweg. He started with the principles of classical Homoeopathy as developed by Hahnemann, and integrated them with the new discoveries in biochemistry and embryology that had been made by the 1940’s. The medications, which he formulated, are derived from: the enzyme systems of the body, allopathic medicines, extensive nosode preparations, and the more traditional homeopathic remedies.

In Homotoxicology, it is understood that diseases are caused by toxins.

What are toxins? How do toxins impact health?
Dr Reckeweg defined ‘Homotoxins’ as substances that were harmful to the human body.
Exogenous toxins that are introduced or produced from outside the human body include air pollution, chemicals, pesticides, metals such as mercury, allopathic drug residue, bacteria, viruses, infections in the gut, including Candida, and gut dysbiosis (often due to an unhealthy diet).
Endogenous toxins are produced inside the body and come from byproducts of the body’s metabolic processes, e.g. lactic acid, adrenaline, and histamine, nutrient deficiencies, and psychological stressors.

Homotoxicology sees disease as the result of the body's attempt to heal itself. Most of the symptoms of illness are the result of defensive effort of organism in order to eliminate the toxins, and should not necessarily be suppressed. In minor, self-limiting disorders, the body does this unaided. In more serious situations, treatment is needed. If the treatment used eliminates the Homotoxins, then real healing results. If the treatment suppresses the Homotoxins, however, (antibiotics, steroids; most drugs) then they go deeper into the tissues and manifest after a latent period as a more destructive disease, and may lead to chronic degenerative disease.

Homotoxicological products are designed to work with the body's defense mechanisms and facilitate the body's elimination of toxic substances and to stimulate the body’s inherent capacity to heal itself. They do not suppress symptoms.

Evidence based theory - Homotoxicology is a (sophisticated) modern form of homoeopathy and is the most prescribed form of natural medicine in Germany, where it has been used for over 50 years and is practiced by conventional doctors and natural therapists alike. In fact, 80% of orthodox doctors in Germany prescribe homoeopathic or antihomotoxic preparations for their patients. What is biomesotherapy?
BIOMESOTHERAPY combinines two well-proven healing methods - acupuncture and homeopathy.

Biomesotherapy is a new therapy consisting of the use of homotoxicological products and the stimulation of acupuncture and trigger points in the body with a saline solution.

How does Biomesotherapy work?

  • Biomesotherapy stimulates the body's self healing capacities, relaxes muscles and normalises body system imbalances.
  • The use of specific points and homotoxicological products has a synergistic effect of sustained release acupuncture as well as allowing the homotoxicological remedies instant access to the patient’s matrix where they can achieve maximal efficacy.
  • The saline solution is inserted subcutaneously in order to stimulate the extracellular matrix, stimulate deeper organ systems and activate the action of the homoeopathic directly to the site where it is required.

How is Biomesotherapy done?

  • A homotoxicological remedy is given via an inhaler to allow quick absorption. The solution given is for a specific organ or tissue type
  • Using an 'inject ease' device, a fine needle containing less than 1ml of sterile saline solution (exactly the same as the body’s fluid composition) is placed superficially into trigger and acupuncture points.

Does it hurt?
With the "Inject-ease" device, the needles used are very fine and more like acupuncture needles. In fact mostly no discomfort is felt by the patient. Most people are surprised how easily and quickly injections are given.

What is Biomesotherapy useful for?
Biomesotherapy is useful for all types of conditions, but it is especially used for acute and chronic pain, and has been shown to be comparable to cortisone therapy without the added side affects.

Conditions include muscular pain, arthritis, lower back pain, neck pain, frozen shoulder, carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis elbow, ankle sprain, sciatica, fibromyalgia, spurs, and increased recovery from sports injury.

How long does biomesotherapy take to work?
Some people experience relief of their pain within minutes of their first treatment, however, it can take up to half an hour. Sessions are for approximately half an hour. Depending on the severity of the condition, treatment is often once or twice weekly for the first two weeks, and as the healing process is facilitated and the condition is ameliorated, treatments become weekly, fortnightly or monthly. Some conditions may require maintenance treatments to ensure that wellness is supported.
